Desi Art Mag was built out of that gap.

Art spaces are free to enter, but they feel far from reach. No one's actually guiding you in.

Art Magazines feel like they are written for people you do not relate to.

How we plan to solve it

Our Mission

To demystify the art world and make it feel welcoming.

It's one of the oldest, most human things we do, feeling made visible. It was never supposed to need a translator.

How We Do It

We write for people who are new to art, but not new to thinking. Intellectually curious, culturally rooted, ready to engage, just never given a way in.

No assumed context. No jargon. Every piece built with a balance of visuals, so understanding never depends on what you already knew walking in.

Meet the Founder

Shivansh Wadhwa

Shivansh started Desi Art Mag because he was tired of it: the unwritten rules, the hard-to-understand writing, having to figure it all out himself with no art background to fall back on. He brings a background in finance and consulting to keep the business disciplined. Everything else on this page comes from having done it the hard way.
